ceramic

My meduim for this project was ceramic clay and gloss. The size of my project was around 10 inches by 10 inches. A key design element that was stressed during the construction of this project was angles. I made the bowl into a square shape. One of the techniques I used for this project was smoothing with my fingers and useing the sponge as well. My peice is used to hold my keys, change, guitar picks etc. The way I created the design for my project was using certain tools to mold angles into the clay. From this project I learned that pateince is a virtue. If I was to repeat this project i would possibly put legs onto my bowl.

peronal logo

My personal logo drawing was very.....personal. I dont have a picture of it but thats ok. my logo drawing was a tuning fork with sound waves extending from it. I used a tuning fork because i am a very big music person. I spend my spare time doing music things. this project did not take too long to do.
This drawing took an incredible amount of patiance. Which is very impressive coming from a personal stand point because patience is something i have very little of when it comes to drawing. I eventually decided to do the drawing at and angle and that worked out very well for me. This often confuses some veiwers but im sure a person of your stature understands the reason for this. I like this peice very much.

acrylic painting

I orginized this painting by doing a sketch of it with a sharpie on paper. The atmospheric perspective i was aiming for in this painting was mysterious and mygestic. I created a light source in this painting by using value and stuff like that. Unfortunetly i dont know if you can pinpoint exactly where the light source is coming from.
It took me a long time to decide on the color scheme Which as you can see ended up being purple, blue and red. It took  me a few days to paint the sky. I also used a stencil to make the moon in the painting.
I wanted to make the moooon look like it was orbiting around the planet. I used the sponge technique to create the clouds. I used multiple shades of blending in this painting as well.

Pastel drawing

I planned my composition by aquiring batteries and doing a thumbnail sketch.
A thumbnail  sketch is a copy of what you are going to draw but smaller.
The veiw finder helped me visualize my thumbnail. I made the items in my drawing appear 3-D
by drawing shadows. I also used the same technique
